Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the public JRC RegRisk corporate website and public content made available through it (the “Website”). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Website.

These Terms apply to the public Website only. JRC RegRisk products, APIs, trials, Sandbox/evaluation environments, client portals, pilots and professional services are governed by separate written agreements, licences, statements of work, NDAs and/or data processing agreements. Where a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms in relation to a contracted service, the signed agreement prevails.

The Website is intended principally for business, institutional and professional users. If you use the Website on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to act for that organisation.

Website materials, regulatory updates, research, risk commentary, examples, screenshots, reports and other public content are provided for general information only. They do not constitute legal advice, regulatory advice, audit assurance, investment advice or a substitute for professional judgement, independent verification or guidance from a competent authority.

Laws, regulations, sanctions, PEP information, official guidance and regulatory expectations may change rapidly. JRC RegRisk does not warrant that public Website content is complete, current or suitable for a particular compliance decision. Where JRC RegRisk links to an official regulator, sanctions authority or standard-setter, the official source prevails.

The Website and its public content are not intended to constitute a consumer report under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act or comparable law. You must not use Website content, demos or screening information to determine a person's eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, government benefits or another regulated eligibility purpose unless JRC RegRisk has expressly agreed in writing to a legally compliant use case.

The Website and its design, branding, software, text, graphics, databases, workflows, documentation, product concepts, demonstrations, videos and other materials are owned by or licensed to JRC RegRisk and are protected by intellectual-property and other applicable laws. JRC RegRisk grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use the public Website for legitimate informational and internal business-evaluation purposes only.

• Copying, reproducing, republishing, selling or commercially exploiting Website content except as permitted by law or with prior written permission.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling or attempting to derive proprietary source code, internal architecture, risk/scoring methodology, rules, prompts or confidential logic.
• Scraping, bulk extraction, systematic downloading, automated harvesting or data mining, or using Website content to build or train a competing database, model, AI system or service without written permission.
• Circumventing authentication, access controls, rate limits or other technical restrictions.
• Performing vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, denial-of-service activity or other security testing without prior written authorisation.
• Introducing malicious code, interfering with availability, impersonating another person or using the Website for fraud, sanctions evasion, money laundering, terrorist financing or other unlawful activity.
• Using JRC RegRisk names, marks, content or relationships in a way that falsely implies certification, endorsement, partnership, regulatory approval or client status.

Unless JRC RegRisk expressly authorises otherwise in writing, demonstrations and Sandbox/evaluation environments must be used with synthetic, sample or appropriately anonymised data. Do not upload real identity documents, biometric data, confidential customer information or regulated personal data to an evaluation environment merely because an upload function is available.

Do not send confidential, privileged, security-sensitive or special-category personal data through public website forms unless JRC RegRisk has expressly requested it through an approved secure channel. Submitting information through a public form does not by itself create a confidential, fiduciary, advisory or client relationship. Any existing written NDA remains unaffected.

If you voluntarily provide non-confidential feedback, suggestions or ideas concerning the Website or JRC RegRisk products, you permit JRC RegRisk to use that feedback for legitimate business and product-development purposes without an obligation to compensate you.

The Website may link to regulators, authorities, partners, vendors and other third parties. Links are provided for convenience, transparency or reference. Unless expressly stated, a link does not mean JRC RegRisk controls, endorses or accepts responsibility for the third party, its content, availability, privacy practices or security.

JRC RegRisk may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue public Website features or content at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or permanent availability of any public content.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and public content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties, representations or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JRC RegRisk, Janneh RegRisk Consulting Limited and their officers, personnel, contractors and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill or data, or loss arising from reliance on public Website content, third-party links or inability to access the Website.

Where liability arising solely from use of the free public Website cannot lawfully be excluded, JRC RegRisk's aggregate liability will not exceed EUR 100 (or the equivalent in local currency), except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, a business or professional user agrees to indemnify JRC RegRisk against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from that user's unlawful use of the Website, material breach of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights or unauthorised use of JRC RegRisk intellectual property.

You must comply with export-control, trade-sanctions, anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing and other laws applicable to your access and use. You must not use the Website or JRC RegRisk materials to facilitate prohibited transactions, sanctions evasion, weapons proliferation, terrorist financing or other unlawful conduct.

Use of the Website is also subject to the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sierra Leone, reflecting the place of incorporation of Janneh RegRisk Consulting Limited, without prejudice to mandatory rights or rules that may apply in another jurisdiction. For disputes involving a business or professional user, the courts of Sierra Leone will have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer, data-protection and jurisdiction rules, where applicable, are not displaced.

JRC RegRisk may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted with an updated date. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
